William Orville Hill, 85, of Greenville died Friday morning at his residence. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Campbell under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Bobby Renfro, Rev. Robert Baldridge and Rev. Kenneth Linden will officiate. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery.

Born Sept. 30, 1917, in Campbell, he was the son of John Quincy and Fannie Scroggins Hill. He and Frances Durham were married Dec. 7, 1947, in Sherman. Mr. Hill served in the U.S. Army. He was a rancher and farmer in Campbell and was a salesman for Automatic Gas Company until his retirement. Mr. Hill was a member of First Baptist Church of Campbell and of the Lions Club.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Joan Hill of Colleyville; daughters and son-in-law Donna and Larry Mayo of Greenville and Judy and Jack Philips of Highland Village; a brother, Joe E. Hill of Gun Barrel City and grandchildren David and Adrian Mayo of Greenville, Jamie and Jason Barborak of Campbell, Natalie and Anthony Doyle of Grapevine, Allison Hill of Colleyville and Jessica and Jason Philips of Highland Village.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Joe Hill; his parents; a brother, J.M. Hill and sister Opal Hogue.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
