Elma was a 50-year resident of Ridgecrest.
She will be buried beside her late husband of 20 years, Carl Lux, who was a Pearl Harbor survivor.

She was married to Glenn Goodfellow in 1938 and they enjoyed 20 years together until his death in 1958. Elma worked at Mare Island Naval Ship Yard in Vallejo before coming to Ridgecrest in the early 1950s. She later worked at N.O.T.S. China Lake for 20 years, during which time she was employed as a mathematical engineer and an electronics technician.

She also worked on the Sidewinder Missle Project in Michelson Lab.

Elma was a loving, cheerful and giving person. She was a faithful member of Our Savior's Luthern Church for some 50 years, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and shared this love with all she met.

Elma give to many charitable organizations including her church and Christian minstries that spread the Gospel around the world, as well as to various veterans' organizations. She cared deeply for veterans, writing letters to members of Congress in suport of legislation that would help them. As a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion, she gladly served as president and then for many years as its chaplain, even compiling a book of prayers for the organization. Elma was a lady who made a difference; she touched and blessed many lives.

Elma is survived by her daughter, Karen Vernon,
Son, John Lux,
Brother, Walter Robbins and sister Lila Cooper.
