Memorial services for Clara K. "Nana" Grant, 80, will be held Sunday, October 17, at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Grant died Friday in a local convalescent hospital. She resided at 2720 Oak Knoll Way.
Mrs. Grant was born June 5, 1896 in Waukegan, Ill., and came to Oroville from San Francisco in 1946. She was a professional baby sitter and was known as "Nana" to many in the area.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Grant is survived by four sons, Boris of Oroville, Kyril of Guam, Clem of San Jose and Bert of Woodland; three daughters, Faye Potter of Richmond, Fern West of Stafford, Kan., and June Bock of Oroville; a sister, Mary Boyer of Waukegan; a brother, William Zewe of Chicago, Ill.; 20 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. John Schmidt will officiate at Sunday's services. Cremation and burial were under the direction of Sanford & Mullen Mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to one's favorite charity or to the First United Methodist Church memorial fund.
