A native and lifelong resident of Crowley, Mrs. Hanks was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church. Her greatest joy in life was being with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Harvey Hanks of Crowley; sons, Rocky Allen Hanks of Crowley, and Conrad Hanks and wife, Cathy of Crowley; sisters, Una Mouton of Crowley, Eva Cormier of Crowley, and Elgine Toney of Crowley; brother, Mason Abshire of Toledo Bend, TX; grandchildren, Travis Hanks and wife, Kristie of Crowley, Monica Hanks of Crowley, Tanya Wright of Troy, NY, and Blake Hanks of Crowley; 7 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Proceeding Mrs. Hanks in death were her parents, Clarence and Olivia Guidry Abshire; sisters, Mable Matthews, Willa Mae Simon, Eunice Thevis, and Eula Sonnier; and brothers, Lawrence Abshire, Leonard Abshire, and Bernice Abshire.
