She was born Sept. 28, 1912, in Reese Creek. Her parents were Noah and Lydia Bennett.
She was the seventh of 13 children, and is survived by her three sisters, Sarah Hopkins of Kennewick, Wash., Sue Dorsey of Bozeman, and Betty Connor of Three Forks. She was married to Alfred McGuire in 1936. Alfred preceded her in death in 1974. Martha worked for the MSU food service for 20 years.
She is survived by her four children, Juanita (Clarence) Swanson, Patricia (Bernard) Mazanec, Michael McGuire, and Dixie Johnson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Belgrade.
