He was born in Springhill on Jan. 10, 1910, son of Samuel and Delilah (McKinney) McGuire. He was married to Martha Bennett at Bozeman.
McGuire attended Decker schools and ranched north of Bozeman. He moved to Bozeman in 1944 and worked for Montana flour mills. He worked for Gallatin County for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Swanson, Billings, Mrs. Bernard (Patricia) Mazanec, Bozeman, Mrs. Robert (Dixie) Mayer, Glasgow; a son, Michael McGuire, Bozeman; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Barclay, Bozeman; Mrs. Lilah Green, Bozeman, Mrs. Herbert William, Bozeman; and two brothers.
