Annabelle was the daughter of Archibald H. and Harriet Clark (Bowman) Argyle. She received her education in the Sidney schools, and married Rufus Tate on 12 Jan 1892.
Annabelle had two children; son Stuart and daughter Harriet.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was active in community affairs. Rufus was a deputy sheriff of Fremont County for many years. Later in life he engaged in the grocery and grain business.
Rufus died at their home in Sidney in 1915. Annabelle died at their home in Sidney in 1949 at the age of 85 years.
