"Amos Lape, 74, of Syracuse, died May 3 at his home there after an illness of about three months. Mr. Lape was born March 18, 1887 at East Worcester, the son of Sylvester and Lina A. (Belden) Lape, and spent his childhood in that vicinity. He was twice married, his first wife, Emma J. Silvernail, having died in 1924. His second wife, Gertrude A. Sarle, survives. Other surviving relatives are brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Smith, Miss Lillie A. Lape and Richard Lape of Cobleskill; Mrs. Saran M. Fleece of East Worcester; Willis Lape of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held May 6 in Syracuse. Rev. Arthur W. Gould officiated and burial was at Charlotteville."
