Daisy Mae (Lee) Goode, 96, of Cowpens, SC, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at her home, surrounded by family.
Born October 8, 1915, in Cherokee County, SC, she was the widow of Fait Goode, and daughter of the late Sam B. and Susan (Crocker) Lee.
Mrs. Goode loved her family and was a caretaker. She retired from Sky City #4 after 25 years of service, and was a member of Central Baptist Church, Cowpens.
Survivors include her son, Sam E. Goode and wife Brenda of Gaffney, SC; daughter-in-laws, Gayle Goode of Waterloo, SC, and Edith Goode of Chicago, IL; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Tisdale of Columbia, SC; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Bobby and Harold Goode.
Visitation was 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Funeral services were conducted 11:00 AM Friday, March 16, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Joseph McGaha and the Rev. Brent Powell. Burial was in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street Suite #3, Greenville, SC 29601.
