Funeral services for John Rudd, whose death occurred at five o'clock p.m. on July 4th, after a long illness, were held at Bethlehem Church on July 6, Rev. Ray officiating.
Mr. Rudd came to Winn Parish during early boyhood and spent the remainder of his life here. At the time of his death he was 73 years old.
Surviving relatives of the deceased are: his wife, Mrs. John Rudd; sons, J. P. Rudd and J. L. Rudd; daughters, Mrs. M. N. Cockerham of Winnfield; Mrs. C. Canerday of Calvin; Mrs. W. Q. Cockerham of Waxahachie, Texas; one brother, Mr. Manuel Rudd of Italy, Texas; and four sisters, Mrs. C. Carpenter, Calvin, Mrs. B. McGinty, Shreveport, Mrs. Jim Machen, Red Oak, Texas, and Mrs. J. Carpenter, Hudson.
