Mrs. Tyler was a nurses' aid at the Horton Community Hospital for 44 years before she retired.
She was born Aug. 19, 1912, at Tonganoxie, the daughter of John and Emma Backenstoce Killoren.
Mrs. Tyler was a member of Horton Senior Citizens, Horton United Methodist Church, Bush Creek Social Circle and Horton Hospital Auxiliary. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star at Muscotah.
She married Guy Jerome in 1936 in Troy. He preceded her in death Oct. 14, 1962. She later married Harry Tyler in 1968 in Horton. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1976.
Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Kearney, Valley Falls; a son, Larry Jerome, Horton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton. Burial will be at Brush Creek Cemetery southeast of Horton.
