William Maloy Smith, 73, of Stratton, Va., died in an Abingdon hospital on Friday of last week.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ettie B. Smith; four sons, Clarence Smith and L. C. Smith, both of Detroit, Mich.; DR. Albert J. Smith, Collinsville, Va., and Bobby Smith, Stratton; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Saunders, Mrs. Mae Rowlett and Mrs. Marie Rock, all of Bristol, Tenn.; five half-sisters, Mrs. Zella Lambert, Mrs. Elzens St. Clair and Mrs. Nona Stanley, all of Clinchco, Va.; Mrs. Lillie Counts, Nora, Va., and Mrs. Rushie Rider, Spokane, Wash., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a. m. Sunday at the residence with Elder Landon Colley and Elder Stuart Owens officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at
Stratton with the Miller Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Beecher Long, Perry French, Elmer Robertson, Ray Damron, W. C. Lambert and Haskell Lambert.
