Wilhelmine "Minnie" Wacker, daughter of Henry Wacker.
Wife of Henry Freudenburg.
Mother of Seven children, Edward, Otto, Herman, Anna (Knapp), Olga (Long), Fredrick and Adella Fredenburg.

Mrs. Freudenburg, with husband and son Edward, came to Madison in Spring of 1892 from Clarinda, Iowa after a journey from Germany.
They settled on a farm 7 miles west of Madison, where great-grandson Steven Freudenburg and his family now live.
When they came here they lived in a dugout.
In 1894 they moved to a farm across the road where their grandson, Melvin Freudenburg and family now live. This place had a wood frame house. The house was replaced with a new home in 1907.
Mr. and Mrs. Freudenburg were active in community affairs and members of St. John Lutheran Church near their home in rural Madison. Some members of the 3rd, 4th and 5th generations of the family still worship there and 4 generations have attended St. John Lutheran School.
Mr. and Mrs. Freudenburg retired from farming and moved into Madison in 1926 when their youngest son Fred married. He then took over the farm. At Fred's retirement his youngest son, Melvin, took over. This farm has been in the family for 98 year.
The farm that Mr. and Mrs. Freudenburg first lived on when they came to Madison became the home of their son, Otto, when he married in 1920. On June 2, 1925, a tornado destroyed all the buildings on the farm but no one was injured. Another set of new building was built the same year and the family moved back in September of 1925.
This land has been in the family for 100 years.
