Ollie (Big O) Houston Chambers, WWII
Veteran, age 89, of Jacksonville, FL went
to walk with God on Jan. 11, 2012, with
family by his side. He is survived by his
wife of 61 years, Imogene, his daughters,
Sarah (Mike), Sherrie (Dave) and Zena
(Jack), 6 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren.
During his last few years Darren (Susan),
his grandson, was his devoted care-giver.
He is also survived by 3 sisters, Mabel,
Beulah & Leola; and 1 brother Kenneth.
Ollie was born in Cades Cove, TN on Feb.
8, 1922 and proudly served his country in
the Army Air Force during World War II.
Ollie and his family have lived in
Jacksonville since 1960 and he owned
Chambers Battery Sales for over 30 years.
He was an avid golfer and a devoted
Tennessee Volunteer fan.
Papaw you will be dearly missed and
always remembered in our hearts.
