Funeral services were held Monday, December 10, 1973 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Irwin County, Ga. at 2 p.m. for Mr. Grady Giddens, who died Saturday, Dec. 8 in Jacksonville, Florida, following a long illness.

The Rev. Calvin Rushton and the Rev. Peyton Walker officiated and burial was in the Bethlehem cemetery.

Pallbearers were Norma Rawlins, Charles Young, Clyde Paul, John Wiggins, Troy Tankersley and Willie Williams.

Mr. Giddens, a retired farmer and Grocery clerk was born July 16, 1896 in Irwin County, where he had lived all his life. He was a son of the late George and Susie Grantham Giddens. Mr. Giddens was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include a son, Troy Giddens of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Mrs. Marteil Hanson of Cedaredge, Colo.; six sisters, Mrs. Aaron Daniels, Mrs. Willliam Harper, both of Ocilla, Mrs. Arlie Ashley of Decatur, Mrs. T. E. Clifton of Lenox, Mrs. J. T. Johnson and Mrs. Charles Griffin both of Nashville, and three grandchildren.

Paulk Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
