"Mrs. Susan Kate Burton, 75, of 625 Tioga Avenue, Kingston, died in the General Hospital yesterday afternoon following two months' illness. The widow of C. I. Burton, she had been a hospital patient one week.
Mrs. Burton made her home the past 12 years with her son, Donald I. Burton, Kingston. She was born at Drums, daughter of John T. and Julia Amelia Cunius Spence and spent most of her life in Ashley and Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are three sons, Spence B., LeRaysville, Pa., James W., South Ozone Park, N. Y., and Donald, Kingston; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Gail S. Hughes Funeral Home, 692 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, on Saturday at 2:30. Rev. Harold G. Deisher will officiate. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call tonight and Friday night, 7 to 10."
