J.C. Shorb, Hotel Man, Dies, Aged 41
J. Campbell Shorb, member of one of the oldest California families, died at his home, 3852 Sacramento Street, early yesterday. He was 41 years old. Shorb had been ill for a long time. For many years Shorb was Assistant Manager of the Hotel St. Francis. He resigned a year ago because of ill health. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. May E. Shorb, four sisters and three brothers. The funeral will take place at 10:30 o'clock this morning from St. Edward's Church, California and Walnut Streets. Burial will be in San Gabriel.
