FRANK P FULLER, 93; SUCCUMBS; FORMER SCHOOL JANITOR 13 YEARS

Franklin P. Fuller, 93, known to hundreds as "Dad" Fuller through his 13 years' service as janitor of the Reed City Public Schools, passed away at 11:45 pm Friday, November 12, 1948, at a convalescent home in Evart following an illness of the past 18 months.

Mr. Fuller, who came to Reed City in 1904, was employed by the late Mrs. W. H. Smith for 10 years until 1929. Since that time, he was well known for his truck garden produce raised at his home on East Osceola Avenue. Many a year he was "first" to have garden peas, sweet corn and potatoes.

Born July 15, 1855, at Hudson, son of James and Mary Fuller, he came with his parents to Lincoln Township in 1869. When a lad of 14 he moved to a farm two miles east of Ashton, near Fuller Hill.

Following the death of his wife and because of poor health he had lived at the Evart convalescent home since June 1947.

He was married April 5, 1877, to Florence Cecilia Patrick in Lincoln Township. She died October 9, 1936. In 1938 he was married to Mrs. Maria Weck, who died in June 1947.

Mr. Fuller was a member of the Ashton Methodist Church and a life member of the Odd Fellows.

Surviving are three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mabel Anderson of Cadillac; two nieces in Cadillac and two nephews in Grand Rapids. Three children preceded him in death, Stella in 1900, David Earl in 1935 and Mrs. Lulu McInnis in 1907.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Livingston funeral home with the Rev. W. S. Easton officiating. Interment was made in Ashton Cemetery.
