William Scott Hanks, former Superintendent of Parks in Muncie, passed away at his residence on Thursday.
Mr. Hanks had served as Superintendent of Parks here during the first administration of Mayor C. Quick. He had been employed at Muncie Gear Works until his retirement 4 years ago.
Mr. Hanks is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Harmon Roush, Mrs. Ruth Buschor, Mrs. Ellsworth Weaver all from Muncie, Mrs. Herbert Rambo from Lima, Ohio; one son. Ezra Hanks from Muncie; one brother, August Hanks from Portland; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
