She attended Rensselaer High School

Alberta Mae Rude, 72, Fort Wayne, formerly of Rensselaer, died on Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Fort Wayne.

She was born on April 16, 1934 in Rensselaer to Andrew and Iva Bell (Mitchell) Morton. She married Jennings Rude on Dec. 2, 1954, who preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1986.

She had lived in Rensselaer for 68 years, and four life-filled years in Fort Wayne. She attended Rensselaer High School, graduating with the class of 1952. She loved the outdoors and to look at flowers in the garden.

Survivors include daughters, a son, granddaughters, great-grandson (her little sweetheart).

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, at Jackson Funeral Chapel, Rensselaer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the A.S.P.C.A. and Acres, Inc.
