Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran church with the Rev. A.C. Huth officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Tyler, Arthur Larsen, Clarence Pickett, Lawrence Otradovsky, Virgil and Vincent Jackson. Mrs. Harry Tyler, Mrs. Lawrence Otradovsky and Sylvia Dufek were in charge of the flower arrangements.
Herman Julius Neuhaus was born at Papillion, Aug. 29. 1906, the son of William and Maria Neuhaus. He lived at Papillion until 14 years old when he came with his parents to Creighton and lived on a farm. At the age of 19 he left the farm and went to Omaha where he was employed for several years. He later came to Creighton and operated a repair and welding business of his own.
He was united in marriage to Lavon Fricke on Jan. 10, 1943. To this union one son, Gary, who is two years old, was born.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife and son, his father, William, three brothers, Arthur of Venus, Alvin of Omaha and Bill of Faunskin, CA, two sisters, Mrs. Marie Closter of Creighton and Mrs. Helen Schram of Papillion.
Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Neuhas of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Schram of Papillion, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Neuhaus, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neuhaus and Mrs. Alva Dykes of Leigh, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Neuhaus of Clarkson, Miss Lillian Neuhaus of Omaha, Mrs. John Seltz, Claus Seltz and Mrs. Donald McArdle of Elkhorn, Julius Seltz of Decatur, Mr. and Mrs. John Weserman and family of Pierce, Art Buesing and Arnold Buesing of Waterloo, Henry Buesing of Elkhorn, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hall of Wayne, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Grube of Gretna, Mrs. George Gosch of Papillion and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pickett and daughters of Schuyler.
