HARPER--Mrs. Laura E., age 81 years, passed away Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Wilson, 124 S. 13th, Kansas City, Kansas. Survived also by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Mattingly, Otumwa, Ia.; Mrs. Roy Trammell, Ottumwa, Ia.; Charlie Harper, 121 E. 30th, Kansas City, Mo.; three granddaughters, three grandsons, one great-grandson; three sisters and one brother, all of Winterset, Ia. Funeral services will be held a the Simmons funeral home, 37th and Strong ave., 2:30 Saturday; burial at Maple Hill cemetery.

Death of Laura Harper

Mrs. Laura Harper, a former resident of this community, died October 28 at Kansas City, it was reported here this week. Funeral services and burial took place in that city last Saturday.

Mrs. Harper was the former Laura Klingaman and was well known here. Relatives from here who attended the funeral were her brother, Frank Klingaman, her nephew Leslie Oldham, her niece, Bertha Hinkle and the latter's daughter, Mabel Piatt. Mrs. Jessie King of Winterset also is a sister of the deceased.
