Inez Blankenship, 77, entered into the presence of God on Monday, October 17, 2011, from Colonial Manor. She was the widow of Tommy Lee Blankenship.

Born on October 1, 1934, in Huntsville, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Charity( Vann) and Richard Alex Clay.

Inez was a homemaker whose presence will be deeply missed by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Archie Blankenship, Mary Fountain, Elizabeth Blankenship, and Celia Jimenez-Perez, all of York; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a sister, Charity Lucille Humphrey of Alabama. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rennie Gottshall.

A viewing will be held on today at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, from 4 to 5 p.m. The service will begin at 5 p.m. with Elder Robert A. Cox officiating.

Burial will immediately follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
