FLORENCE (AGNEW) THOMPSON

Wife of William D. THOMPSON and a native of Bedford, died at her home in Crucible, Green County, Saturday night after undergoing an emergency operation. She was born in Bedford, the daughter of William K. AGNEW and Annie (KINTON) Agnew, and was aged 59 years. In 1901 she was united in marriage with Mr. THOMPSON, who survives, with one son, Attorney W. Robert THOMPSON of Waynesburg, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter BAILEY of Waynesburg, and Florence A. THOMPSON, a teacher at Brownsville. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Annie STIVER of Parsons, West Virginia and one brother, W. H. AGNEW of Tyrone. One son is deceased. She was a graduate of the Bedford High School in the class of 1895. The body will be brought to Bedford on Tuesday and services will be conducted in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. A. Williams and Rev. J. Albert Eyler, pastor of the Reformed church. Interment will be made in the Bedford Cemetery.

Florence Agnew Thompson is a descendant of George Wertz & Nancy Christy. NSDAR #267396. She was accepted as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution on January 28, 1931.
