Services for Woodrow W. West, who died May 6, 1991 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 10 at First Baptist Church in Blair. The Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1251 will be in charge of military services at the Blair Cemetery.

Woodrow W. West was born July 4, 1917 in Herman, Nebraska to Killus Beck West and Violena Bell Pyles. He attended school in Herman.

In 1942, he entered the Army and served his country until September 1945. He worked for the Blair Light Plant for 25 years.

He married Helen Bohs in Tekamah on August 24, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 1961; his parents, three brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Julian; two sisters, Stella Sanderson and Alice Grothe; one grandson, Danny West and his step-father, Henry Charles Baker.

He is survived by two daughters, Frances (Mrs. Larry) Biffar and Linda (Mrs. Mike) Bowen, both of Blair; one son, Jerry West, Blair; six grandchildren, Brad Biffar, Bryce Biffar, John Bowen, Amy Bowen, Sheila West and Mike West; a friend, Ethel Simpson; a sister-in-law, Viola West; a brother-in-law, Leslie H. Johnson; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Velma Bohs and by several nieces and nephews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
