Marcella F. (Ponsler) Kuduk, 89, of Eden Prairie, Minn., died of natural causes on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minn.
Marcella was born on Nov. 4, 1921, in Hawkins to Carrie and Allen Ponsler.
She lived most of her life in Hawkins, spending the last 10 years in Eden Prairie. She married Raymond Kuduk in Hawkins on Sept. 20, 1941,
Marcella was a school cook in Hawkins for many years. She also sold Avon for many years. Through these activities, she knew everyone in town and the surrounding area.
She was an active member of the community and was a member of the Hawkins United Methodist Church.
Marcella is survived by her sons Dennis (Kathleen) Kuduk of Hawkins, Gary Kuduk of Hawkins and Dale Kuduk of Hawkins; her daughter Janice (Allen) Hoyt; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carrie and Allen; her husband Raymond, who passed away in June 1988; her brother Floyd (Margery) Ponsler; her sisters Esther O'Connor and Elsie Erickson; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 6, at Hawkins United Methodist Church with Pastor Loretta Waughtal officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The Nash-Jackan Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
