On June 17 Mrs. Mary D. Hall, mother of Mr. Ernest Hall, 439 North Oak Park avenue, Mr. Miller Hall, 230 Clinton avenue and Mr. Raphael G. Hall of Clyde (now Cicero), passed away at the venerable age of 91 years. Mrs. Hall had lived in Cook county thirty-two years. She was born in Sheffield, England, and forty years ago came to America, settling at first in Dyersville, Iowa. From there she came to Chicago, and immediately after the fire settled in Oak Park. Mrs. Hall was a staunch Methodist, a supporter of the Salvation Army and a woman well known for her many deeds of charity and love. Her father, Rev. Edward Miller, was a prominent minister in the Methodist denomination, whose life and work are the subject of a published volume.
The venerable lady retained her faculties to the last and joined in the family devotions the day before her death.
The funeral was from the home of Mr. Miller Hall, on Saturday at 2 p. m., and was conducted by Rev. Dr. Fawcett, of River Forest. Interment at Forest Home.
