From his Obituary in "The Bloomer Advance", dated Thursday, 21 November 1940. Chas A. Nichols - Charles A. Nichols for many years a respected resident of the town of Sampson, passed away at his home Monday morning. He was born in Spring Book, Dunn county, May 14, 1866. On August 26, 1894 he was united in marriage to Eva Hill. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Paige of Wild Rose, and Neil and Phillip of Sampson, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Christian church at Island Lake, Rev. A. McEathern officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
