Ken was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Vernen M. Hamilton and Geneva Spillman. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School. Right out of high school, Ken went into the United States Military during World War II. Ken worked at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory for 29 years, retiring in 1987.
On March 19, 1948, he married his sweetheart, Myrna Agnes Lovell. To this union were born three children: Boyd, Bruce and Patricia Jo. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Myrna served a full-time mission in the Misdosa Texas mission. Ken loved to spend his time hunting, fishing and camping in the outdoors.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Myrna Hamilton of Idaho Falls; sons, Boyd Kenneth (Kathy) Hamilton and Bruce Dee (Cathy) Hamilton; brother, DeWayne (Linda) Hamilton; sister, Cloetella (Lyle) Orr; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patricia Jo Hamilton; sister, Elgia Hamilton; and brother, Grant Hamilton.
A private family graveside service will be held.
