Age 74, of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Friday, December 14, 2001. Mrs. Wheeler had been a Florida resident for the last 13 years and was a lifelong Hobart resident before moving to Florida. Mae was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ft.Myers and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Hobart; former member of the Mother's Circle, Altar Guild; St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary
Volunteer "Pink Lady". Mae was a loving mother, grandmother,
and sister, and she will be missesd by all.

She is survived by 3 children, George A. (Lynda) Wheeler, Jr., Hobart, Joyce C. (John) Merrell, Portage, Laura J. (George) Chapman, Ft. Myers, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Merrell, Shari Wheeler, Dyan Wheeler; 2 sisters, Vera (Tom) Kalberer, Leona "Peggy" (Bill) Malinoff; 2 brothers, Ralph (Sharon) Detterline, all of Hobart, and Lester (Lois) Detterline, Deltona, FL; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, George, and two brothers, Harold and David.

Church, 14531 Old Olga Road, Ft. Myers, FL 33905. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at 11 a.m. from the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Rev. Gary Nagy officiating. Burial Graceland Cemetery. Visitation Monday 2-9 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
