William Calvin "Cal" Stewart ( Nov. 1, 1844-Aug 14, 1907) was a son of George Washington Stewart and Elizabeth Jane Wheat who were buried at that same cemetery. Quoting from the biography by MS Gov./Senator Theo Bilbo, "He joined the Confederate Army, in April 1861, Company A, under Capt. Mason......participated in every battle commanded by Gens. Bragg, J. E. Johnson, and J. B. Hood wih the exception of Murfreesboro. He was captured at Glasgow, KY, and paroled, but remained home only 60 days when he was exchanged, remaining in active service until the close of the war."

A Confederate tonbstone was added to his grave for a memorial service on April 23, 2006 for CSA veterans buried there. A picture of him is in section for pictures of men and officers at
http://www.7miss.org/ . He was a nephew of my Confederate gg grpa, Ebenezer Prentis Stewart whose grave is pictured in Pearson Cemetery in same MS county.
