Geneva Bell Williams Russell, a 98-year-old resident of Moberly (MO) and former Trenton (MO) resident, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at the Moberly Regional Hospital in Moberly.
Private family-only funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003 at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton. Rev. Mike Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens at Trenton.
An open visitation is scheduled will be held on from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Russell was born on Jan. 17, 1904 near Humphreys, (MO), the daughter of Otis Willard and Lola Virginia (May) Williams. She lived most of her life in Sullivan and Grundy Counties (MO). She was married to Carl Francis Russell on July 17, 1924. She retired in Kansas City (MO) and moved to Trenton in 1970. She was a resident of Trenton after retiring until she entered the nursing home in October 1999.
She was a lifetime member of the Christian Church...
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by (her) parents; one daughter, Gloria Evans; one granddaughter, Carla June Russell; four sisters; and two brothers.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Grundy County (MO) Senior Center in Trenton.
