Martha 1st marriage was to Phillip Myers and they had the following 5 children in Blount: Annie 1870-1872, Ida, George, Mary Ellen and Jennie Naomie. After Phillip's death Martha then briefly married Rice Chrisp, a pony express rider. Martha then married the third time to James Wright, a school teacher in Blount.
Martha and James, with the children Ida, Mary, & Jennie followed Phillip & Martha's only son George to Texas. George had previously left home alone when he was 16 to go to Texas and setteled in the Burns City area of Cooke County. Martha, James & kids had arrived in Texas by 1900 and were living with George in Burns City on the 1900 census.
