Son of Phillip b.1830-d.1883 and Martha Key Myers

George left Tennessee by himself soon after his father Phillip died when George was 16 years of age. Geoge came to Texas and settled first in Bolivar, and later moved to Burns City. By 1900, his mother, step-father, and three sisters had followed George to Texas and moved in with George in Burns City.

George married Mollie E. Williams about 1900 and their only child J P Myers was born in 1902.

George died from a stroke in 1908 as recorded in his mother's family bible. Unknown burial location. Possible unmarked grave on family property.

This is only know picture of George W. Myers. Perhaps the only picture ever taken of George and owned by the J. P. Myers family. Do not copy without permission.
