William A. Ganss, Jr., 88, of south Toledo, passed away on December 7, 1998, in St. Luke's Hospital. Bill was employed as a die caster at the Gentry-Schultz Corp. for 43 years, retiring in 1974. Mr. Ganss was a former member of Faith Lutheran Church and most recently had been a friend of Zion United Methodist Church. His hobbies included hunting and fishing which he greatly enjoyed. Mr. Ganss was a loving husband and father that will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred Ganss; daughter; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bill is also survived by 2 brothers as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, December 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Walter Funeral home, 4653 Glendale Avenue, where services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning on expression of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to Zion United Methodist Church.
