Donald F. Ganss, age 74, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born in 1929 to William and Clara Ganss in Toledo. Don was a 1947 graduate of Libbey High School. Don and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary December 2000. He was inducted into the U.S. Marine Corps March 1952, and served as Air Controlman at OPS-Locka Air Base, Florida. He retired in 1991, after working 43 years as station circulation manager for the Toledo Blade. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, poker, bridge, Friday night get-togethers, monthy supper club and monthly Tuesday night supper club with Toledo Blade retired friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Don is survived by his wife of 53 years, his sons, grandchildren and a brother. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth; brothers William, Clarence and Edward.
There will be no visitation. Snyder-Wesche Funeral Homes & Crematory of Holgate/Napoleon handled cremation arrangements.
