Obituary: New Albany LEDGER, Monday, September 3, 1888. Alexander Hedden, one of the pioneers of Floyd County, and a brother of David Hedden of the city, died at his farm near Greenville on Sunday at the age of 78 years. As a husband, parent, neighbor and citizen, the deceased filled the full measure of Christian manhood. His life has been one of usefulness, industry, and benefit to his fellow man.
