Alvin C. Barnhart, 74, Olney, died Sunday June 17, 1990 at 7:21 a.m. at his residence.

Arrangements are being handled by Ingram Funeral home in Albion.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in West Village Cemetery, north of Albion. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 p.m. There will be full military rites.

Mr. Barnhart was born in Samsville May 15, 1916, the son of Herb and Hanna (Mason) Barnhart. He married Doris C. Corwin in Albion in 1941.

He was a tool pusher in an oil field.

He was a member of the West Village Christian Church.

He was a World War II veteran and a member of the VFW Post #8222 in Albion.

Survivors include one son, Mike Barnhart, of Florida; two daughters, Kate Hout and her husband, Jerry, Noble; Dea Etta Lohmann, Florida; Carmi; four sisters, Ruthy Brown, Terre Haute, Ind., Dolly Patterson, Terre Haute, Ind., Virgie Smith, Tuscola, Lucy Crabtree, Poseyville, Ind.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
