Pembroke - Mrs. Thelma M. Quattlebaum, 84, died Thursday at Moss Oaks Health Care Center after a long illness. The Effingham County native lived most of her life in Pembroke. She was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, William Floyd Quattlebaum of Pembroke; three sons, Roland I. Quattlebaum of Columbia, S.C., William H. Quattlebaum of Garden City and Herschel G. Quattlebaum of Pembroke; three daughters, Mrs. Eva J. Addis of Walhalla, S.C., Mrs. Geraldine Q. Parrish of Pembroke and Mrs. Nellie Q. Tucker of North Bay, N.Y.; two brothers, Darsey Porter of Indianapolis and Carl D. Porter of Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Mrs. Lanie P. Clemmons of Tequesta, Fla.; and 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Morrison Funeral Home in Pembroke, burial in North Side Cemetery.
