Mark Coykendall and Miss Tennessee Backus were married at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Theodore Backus, last Monday afternoon, by the Rev. Mr Burr. The friends of Mr. and Mrs.Coykendall extend congratulations.

Tennessee Backus Coykendall, 76, wife of Mark E. Coykendall of Washington street, Livonia, died early yesterday morning at her home after an illness of about a month. Although she had been in poor health all winter, she had been able to be around the house until about four weeks ago.
Mrs. Coykendall was born in the town of Lima, Mar. 31, 1870, the daughter of Theodore and Gloanah Ganung Backus. She was a graduate of Livonia Union school in the class of 1888 and was married Dec. 14, 1893. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Coykendall lived for a time in Livonia, Lima and Avon, returning to Livonia in 1904 and their present home which they built, and where they had lived for 42 years. She had been a member of the Methodist church for 42 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by one brother, George H. Backus of Lima, a niece, Mrs. Mildred B. Becker of Elmhurst, L. I., and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Brown Funeral home, Saturday afternoon, May 4, at 3 o'clock, with the Rev. Paul Jaynes, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. William Brown. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery, Lima.
