27 Nov 1936 - Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at four o'clock at the Ft. Jesup Baptist church for Curtis Dees generally known as Uncle Kirk Dees.
He was born in Wilcox county, Alabama in June 1848 and was past 88 years old. In early life he came to Louisiana. He was married twice. To the first union there were born three children, who all survive, two boys, Daniel and Harrison and one daughter, Mary; their mother preceded him many years ago, as did the second wife. He was one of six brothers who all have preceded him in death. He is survived by an only sister, Mrs. Mattie Smith of Ft. Jesup

I have been researching this family and found a marriage record in Wilcox County, Alabama for a marriage of Curtis Dees to Elizabeth Williams on 5 February 1874.
No census record showed up on a family...but the County, State, date & his name would would fit, including the 1879 birth date of a child being born. Do not know if you want to add Elizabeth Williams as a 1st wife & possible mother of his 3 children - history4sure
