MYRTLE E. HELSEL
Mrs. Helsel, 92, of Luthersburg RD 1, formerly of Duncansville, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 1983, in the Maple Avenue Hospital, Dubois, after a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 20, 1891, in Somerset County, the daughter of Jonathan and Anna (Miller) Miller, and in Hollidaysburg, married Homer Grant Helsel, who died March 24, 1961.
Surviving are eight children: Mrs. Margaret Langham, with whom she had resided; Mrs. Pauline Dively of Hollidaysburg, Kenneth W. of Martinsburg, Lester S. of Aliquippa, Mrs. Betty Ayers of Roaring Spring, Sheldon I. of East Freedom and Mrs. Jean Detrick and Dennis L. of Duncansville; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Helsel was a member of the Leamersville Church of the Brethren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.
HELSEL -- Services for Myrtle E. Helsel, formerly of Duncansville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. Christian R. Arndt. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Leamersville. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the funeral home.
