Doris married Doyle Dascher on May 5, 1936, in Eau Claire. They had one child, and Doris was a homemaker most of her life. She was employed during WW II at Presto Industries, and for a few years was an optical technician at Consumers Co-op.
Doris loved her family and cared deeply about them. She attended a Pentecostal church and was a faithful follower of Christ. She passed away on April 9, 2002 in Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers and one sister. She was survived by her son; two brothers; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial took place in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
