Rosa Lee Cheek
Rosa Lee Cheek, 74, pre-kindergarten teacher at Faith Christian School for 21 years, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Hwy 277 South, with the Rev. Jack Hardy officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Cheek was born in Goree and moved to Abilene in 1929. She married Howard Cheek in 1942 in Abilene and was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Gary Lee Cheek of Abilene; one sister, Margaret Louise Parris of Abilene; and two nieces and one nephew.
Memorials may be sent to Faith Baptist Church, 2300 S. 20th, Abilene 79605; or Linda Cheek Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1069, McCamey 79752.
Visitation will be from 6-8p.m. today in the funeral home.
