COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Ira. V. Loftis were conducted from the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home Monday, September 3, at 11 p.m. with John Averitt officiating. Mrs. Loftis died September 2 in the local hospital. Burial was in the Double Springs Cemetery.
She was a native of Jackson County, the daughter of late Billy P. and Nancy Elizabeth "Lizy" Loftis Hensley, the widow of the late Morgan Loftis.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arah Bean and Mrs. Sam Lasater of Cookeville; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Ranson, Gainesboro, Mrs. Celina Kinniard, Sparta, Mrs. Nola Whiteaker and Mrs. Lois Black of California; three brothers, Frank, Charlie, and G. R. Hensley of California.
