Edith Elizabeth (Toth) Sackett, 99, of Osage, WY passed away of natural causes on Thursday, October 28, 2010.
She passed peacefully at her home. Mrs. Sackett was born to Frank Toth and Elizabeth Kozma on January 24, 1911 at their family farm in Horton, Wyoming.
She married Claude Morris Sackett in March of 1936 at Dewey, South Dakota.
She is survived by her sister, Irma Lampert, her children, Darrell Sackett of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donald (Meredith) Sackett, of Alcova, Wyoming, and Sharron Cheyne, of Osage, Wyoming.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, several siblings, son-in-law Terry Cheyne, daughter-in-law Bernadean Sackett and granddaughter, Michelle Sackett.
Mrs. Sackett was a beloved wife, mother, and grandparent. Her family will remember happy times spent talking at her kitchen table, wonderful home cooked meals, beautiful crocheted blankets, and her practical approach to life in rural Wyoming.
She was a true Wyoming pioneer and spent her entire life in the Black Hills area.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, November 1, 2010 at Greenwood Cemetery in Newcastle, WY.
There will be a luncheon served at 3 P.M. at the Osage Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to do so, make contributions to Treasured Memories Hospice, 116 N. Little Horn Avenue, P.O. Box 189, Moorcroft, WY 82721.
