Her tombstone reads Maudalina A., but family history says her name was Agatha Magdalena.

"Born 26 March 1861 in Harrison County, Iowa, the eldest child of Xaver and Christiane Geiger Aleck. Died 5 June 1902 in Logan, Iowa. Buried in Loga, Iowa.

Married 15 March 1882 in Logan, Iowa to Frederick Henry Cadwell born 8 December 1860 in Logan, Harrison County, Iowa the son of Phineas and Harriet N. Fiske Cadwell. In 1906 he married secondly Maud Walker. Died 12 December 1920 in Logan, Iowa. Buried in Logan, Iowa.

Before Marrying, Agatha Magdalena taught in a country school. Frederick Henry and Agatha Magdalena farmed in Magnolia township where he served as trustee of Magnolia Township for a number of years and after retiring was a Justice of the Peace in Logan until 1938.

They were the parents of one daughter. Caroline Teresa born 25 January 1883.
