Christian Science funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 pm January 29, 1950 at the L. D. S. church for Mrs. Theresa Harmsen, 84, who passed away in her home Saturday, January 28, 1950. Reader Allen of Omaha officiated.

Pall bearers were H. L. McGavern, Wm. Orr, George Heyde, Art Kuster, Walter Ronfeldt and Geo. Oloff. Becker Funeral home in charge. Burial in Valley View Cemetery.

Theresa, daughter of Xaver and Christine Aleck, was born January 13, 1866 and passed away Saturday January 28, 1950 in her home following a heart attack. She was united in marriage October 15, 1887 to Harm Harmsen. To this union was born five children. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters Ella and Emma. She was a life long resident of Harrison County and of Persia. The family moved to Persia the year of 1912. Survivors are three sons, Herman, Fred and William, all of Persia. Two brothers Joe A. Aleck of Omaha, Charles Aleck of Logan, Mrs Amelia Wilson of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs Anna Hyde of Minneapolis, Minn., two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
