Funeral services for Butler Jackson, 46, of 214 S. Armenia ave., who died Wednesday night at the Veterans hospital at Bay Pines, will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the F. T. Blount funeral home with the Rev. C. E. Rodgers of the Bayshore Baptist church officiating. Honorary pallbearers are R. W. Trice, I. W. Phillips, A. R. Phillips, C. M. Matheson, A. E. Slack, R. W. Hudson, L. B. McSwain, Harold Green, J. E. Roach, DeHart Ayala, Gabe Ayala, J. Rex Farrior, Walter Nance, Warren Adams, John T. Logan, W. B. Dickerson, G. Povenzano, Samuel Lee Bowman, C. A. Edwards, P. C. Burnett, John Burnett, Solon Lambert, J. W. Booth and Dr. Frank T. Barker. Active pallbearers are Bennett Wheeler, Harold Barber, Sam Wilson, Ray Beazley, Woodrow Butler and Adger Butler. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill cemetery.

Butler Jackson, Son of Pioneer Of Tampa, Dies

Butler Jackson, 46, of 214 S. Armenia ave., a veteran of the first World war and a grandson of Thomas Butler Jackson, founder of Jackson Heights, died in Bay Pines hospital Wednesday after a short illness. He was for 25 years a salesman for I. W. Phillips & Co.

Mr. Jackson was born in Talladega, Ala., and was brought to Tampa when a child by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Jackson. He lived in Tampa most of his life, and was a member of the American Legion, and of the Bayshore Baptist church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pauline Lambert Jackson, a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jackson Stephens, of Cincinnati; a son, Pvt. James Lambert Jackson, of Camp Blanding; his father, J. M. Jackson; two brothers, Ernest K. Jackson, of Jacksonville, and J. Cowen Jackson, of Talladega.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 o'clock in the F. T. Blount chapel with the Rev. C. E. Rodgers, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Bennett Wheeler, Harold Barber, Sam Wilson, Ray Beazley, Woodrow Butler and Adger Butler; honorary, R. W. Trice, I. W. Phillips, A. R. Phillips, C. M. Matheson, A. E.
