Elbert was the son of William H. and Sarah (Abbott) Price. He married Florella Martin on 25 Dec 1894 in Pulaski Co., Kentucky. Florella is also interred in the Danville South Cemetery. Elbert and Florella were the parents of four known children: John Curtis Price (1895- ca 1907), Sarah Price (ca 1898- ca 1899), Thomas E. Price (1902-1981) and Elbert Franklin Price (1909-adulthood).
